In this series of After Effects tutorials, we will learn how to create a 3D fly-through effect in After Effects with assets created from images that we break down in Photoshop.

This tutorial will cover how to set up Rorschach mask with tracking markers. These markers can then be used to generate a basic piece of geometry which will be tracked to the subjects face. Once tracked, a fractal noise “inkblot” can be UV mapped to the geometry. The last step will involve cleaning up the tracking markers for the final composite.
